Additional Incentives, Tax Credits Add Thousands More in Savings
3 May 2018
RUTLAND, VT – Green Mountain Power and Alderman’s Chevrolet of Rutland are teaming up to provide General Motors employee discount pricing to GMP customers on the all-electric Chevy Bolt and electric-hybrid Chevy Volt – providing thousands of dollars in savings.
“At GMP, we are committed to helping customers reduce carbon and save money, and this program hits both of those targets” said Mary Powell, GMP’s president and CEO. “We’re excited to partner with Alderman’s to spread the word on the Bolt, a sleek, fun car to drive with a range of more than 200 miles on a charge, making it practical, clean and economical.”
In addition to the price incentives, GMP is making the ease of owning an EV even easier. The company is giving its new EV customers free Level-2 home chargers as part of the GMP Smart Home Charging program. These faster chargers allow EV drivers to fully charge their cars in just a few hours. GMP has already built Level-2 and Level-3 public charging stations throughout the state.
GMP is also offering incentives of up to $600 for low- to moderate-income customers. For a family of four, that could include an income of up to $54,000.
“Employee pricing, along with special GM incentives and a federal tax credit of up to $7,500 on a new Bolt mean GMP customers can buy a Bolt for less money than ever before,” said Mark Alderman, general manager. “Combine that with additional incentives provided by GMP, and now is the time to buy a Bolt, and leave gas and oil changes behind.”
Green Mountain Power customers who wish to take advantage of GM employee pricing on the Bolt or Volt should bring a copy of their GMP monthly statement or their GMP employee ID number to Alderman’s Chevrolet.
The Chevy Bolt has a range of up to 238 miles, among the longest ranges in its class.
