Lots of options!
You choose your batteries, where you’re buying them, and who is installing them. You also decide how much energy you’ll share during peaks. If weather is forecasted for your area that is likely to cause outages, we take steps so you have the backup power you need. The list of participating batteries is below.
You save while helping others save, too!
In the BYOD program, you get seamless battery backup power to keep you connected, and you also share energy during peak energy use times. By sharing some stored energy, you help to reduce costs for all GMP customers during peaks.
How much can I save?
The amount of your rebate is set by how much stored energy you agree to share during peaks, which happen a few times a month. The incentive is $850 per kW of storage enrolled for three hour battery discharge, $950 per kW for four hour discharge. If you’re retrofitting an existing solar system in an area of the state where more energy storage would be most beneficial for all customers, there’s an additional $100 per kW incentive.
